Banks Mill tenants take part in Derbyshire Open Arts
A number of residents at Banks Mill studios took part in the Derbyshire Open Arts event this year. The event is in its sixth year now and the number of participating artists has grown every year, with open venues throughout Derbyshire.
At Banks Mill, 13 artists opened their studios with work including ceramics, fine art, illustration, photography, textiles, dress making and stained glass.
This annual event opens artists’ studios, workspaces and other showplaces to the general public over one weekend each year. The aims of Derbyshire Open Arts is to encourage artists to show their products to the public in their working environment; it provides opportunities for artists to network, sell artwork and gain professional development and help raises the economic and artistic profile of the region.
