Hardy image seen on prominent Derby building

Banks Mill Associate Member, Chris Hardy was commissioned by Quad Arts, Derby to research and photo-document themes on Enlightenment for the Gleam Festival of Light in Derby. His images, covering aspects of Enlightenment with suitably researched quotations were projected onto the Magistrates Court, Gaolgate Street, Derby. The highlight of the events leading up to the projections was an overnight photo-shoot at Derby’s Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara temple in Peartree, Derby. “Opportunities to cover such warm and thought provoking events are few and far between for photographers and I am indebted to Derby’s Sikh community to be the first photographer to be allowed to cover such an event.”
